While looking for books that would assist me in understanding the needs of a children in the foster care system and making the child feel comfortable in my home, I found this book to be exceptional. Aside from my training to be a foster care parent (for ages 3 - 9) I found that there was a shortage of picture books for young children who are going through so much and sometimes don't feel free to express their feelings. "Am I Special?" offers this opportunity for opening communication between foster parent and child and expressing feelings. I enjoyed the pictures and the book was very touching.Product details
